I have to classify a bunch of American history events for a timeline but I’m not sure if some events belong in a political or diplomatic category.what’s the difference between the two?

Political events would be events that had to do with America’s own government or public affairs, e.g. an event that had to do with the President, Congress, etc. Diplomatic events would be events that involved America’s relations with another country, e.g. the Cold War, the Cuban Missile Crisis, etc.

Political-(adj.) of or relating to the government or public affairs of a country
Diplomatic-(adj.) of or concerning the profession, activity, or skill of managing international relations

Hope this helps!

At the beginning of the book, everybody believes that Boo is either a rumor or some strange evil kid that never comes out of his house. But then throughout the book, theres little incidents that Scout and Jem encounter that lead us to believe Boo is real, and may be friendly. Does anybody know three events (and quotes) that foreshadow this? The events can’t go past chapter 24. I need help! Thank you!

1.Leaves gifts for scout and jem in the tree
2.Sews jems pants after jem runs away from nathan radley
3.Puts a blanket around scout during the fire

We are going to create a dialogue amongst the characters and we have to talk about 4 topics. I got assigned the political events. So what are the political events and any ideas on how I can add that to the dialogue? Please add more details because I am not very familiar with US history. Thank you in advance.

The rise of unions. Unions fixed the price of labor. Labor is a resource like everything else. Therefore labor prices must be able to adjust with the rest of the market. However, labor unions artificially drove up the cost of production. Profits suffered and employment dropped further than needed.

Good question. It’s good to go back an relive those moments. Here are a few that stand out:
Michael Jordan was drafted by the Chicago Bulls in 1983, the same year Jimmy V’s NC State team stunned Houston for the NCCA title.
A year later, Mary Lou Retton needed a perfect 10 to win gold in the floor exercise and she got exactly that — a 10.
In 1986, Jack Nicklaus, at 46-years-old, won the Masters.
In 1989, Pete Rose was banned from baseball and Wayne Gretzky set the NHL’s all-time scoring record.

What predisposing events are often associated with subsequent otitis media and what is the mechanism?

Children who have their first episode of otitis prior to six months of age are more likely to have subsequent attacks. An infant holding its bottle while lying supine many cause milk and germs to reflux into the eustachian tubes thence to the middle ear. Upper respiratory infections interfere with proper tube drainage, leading to otitis. Overuse of antibiotics create a resistant bacterial population.

Otitis is more common in children with cleft palate and children with Down Syndrome.

The mechanism is a short and patent eustachian tube that allows easy fluid communication between the nasopharynx and the middle ear.
