I am planning a trip to the Milwaukee Public Museum. I have never been to a museum before. I went online to purchase tickets and I see you have to purchase tickets for different exhibits. Do you have to purchase tickets for every exhibit, or just a select few? Is there usually a lot of stuff to see that you don’t have to pay extra for? Any information you have would be great.

First off, great choice on visiting the Milwaukee Public Museum (MPM)! I think it’s a really underrated museum. I would suggest just buying the cheapest, basic ticket, trust me, you’ll have plenty to see without paying extra for special exhibits. You must check out the Streets of Old Milwaukee, it’s a favorite of nearly everyone in Milwaukee, and a really great interactive exhibit (great for taking pictures too!)
Also, many people seem to forget about the top floor of the museum. In my opinion, the top floor has some of the best exhibits, but if you spend too much time trying to draw out some of the more "kiddie" exhibits on the other floors, you will be crunched for time when you get to the top.
Hope you enjoy!

Doesn’t matter what country the museum(s) are in. FYI Google search has only turned up false leads so far, so this is addressed to those who are fairly certain where a fossil may be on display, like scientists or people who have seen that fossil when visiting a museum. Thanks.

There is a skull on display at the American Museum of Natural History in New York City

What kind of benefits would you want from your museum membership? How would you like to be rewarded for being a member?

It would depend on the level that I am joining at.

With a student membership, I would want to be able to go in for no charge at non-peak hours.

With a membership designed for regular patrons, I would want higher-level incentives, such as discounts on renting the museum for private functions.

With a membership designed for people in the art community, I would want to be able to take part in certain museum meetings and perhaps be able to vote on who leads which committeee, etc.

Perhaps a museum should create hybrid memberships based on these different concerns.

Also, if you wouldn’t mind answering, is there a high demand for astronomers?

Astronomers are scientists and scientists are employed at museums because they are scientists.

No, there is no great demand for Astronomers. Only a relatively small percentage of PhD Astronomers actually get work in the field. And if you don’t have a PhD, the best you can hope for is service observing or teaching work (at high school, not Uni)

That’s right folks; it’s a museum celebrating the victory of science over superstition and stupidity. It has an especially large natural history exhibit presenting all the evidence science has to date on human advancement from a species of lesser evolved primates. The information is given in a clear and precise manner, easy for less educated folk to understand it. Do you think the good Christian folk of Kansas will protest the construction of this victory museum?

Genesis is about the restoration of the earth 10-12,000 years ago when some cataclysmic event caused a mass extinction of life on the planet during the Pleistocene Holocene boundary. God made the modern animals "after their kind," that is similar in DNA structure to their extinct prehistoric counterparts.
