Look for the upper … Look for the upper most pixel on the left hand ball and compare it with that of the 1 2nd in – at first they are level at 2:02 but then the left becomes 1-2 pixels higher at 2:06.
It was a montage of … It was a montage of various video clips meant to look live AFTER the he wrote the numbers down. It’s TV folks. Not that mind blowing.
He could of shown … He could of shown the lotto numbers befor they were drawn as, if this truley was a prediction. As it was only a prediction not the numbers
2:06 look at the … 2:06 look at the brickwork on the wall its very clear something happens with the camera at that moment although that it was live and a single continious shot i cant explain
willemslie I … willemslie I imagine you are correct. To top that though they were doing in at random. 2 is a strange mean average when many of them were writing double figures, yes so your saying the pretty much all wrote single figures, with the majority writing 1
Watch the slight … Watch the slight camera movement throughout. Just as Derren anounces number 28 for the last time, that camera movement stops for a couple of seconds. It freezes for just long enough to substitute the correct balls and then cut back to the live footage.
Watch full screen … Watch full screen in HQ. Look at the top of the ball on the far left. At 2:00 the top of all the balls are in a straight line. At 2:06 the first ball is higher than the rest. They didn’t push that ball down far enough in the holder and it gives the split-screen trick away.
No it’s not … No it’s not ridiculous at all. To anyone who has worked in TV it’s totally obvious that the trick was done with a split screen. At 2:04 you can SEE the first ball move up very slightly as they mix from the frozen left side of the screen to the live shot. That ball position move plus the obviously faked wobbly camera effect is 100% proof of a split screen technique.
no the camera IS … no the camera IS stationary. The “shaky movement” is faked – added electronically to the image to help convince the viewer that no split screen trickery is going on.
I did some research … I did some research which may offer an answer to this. The UK lottery sales have dropped in half over the last couple of years. Camelot the UK company that runs it has put it up for sale. Guess what, no takers. This looks like a last ditch attempt to stimulate sales.
i had a laser / … i had a laser / printer in ball solution. don’t know about TV and split screens, but one thing is for sure A) he didn’t fix the balls and B) he didn’t predict the lottery with odds of 14m to 1!!!
yea, i spotted that … yea, i spotted that as well, although watching on 4OD you can’t really pause it that well. I also noticed there are some unusual bars to the right hand side of the screen. i like the way he also says it wont work on low resolution such as the internet. i guess that’s because they are either worried some people might get stuck or they cant make some revenue on the phone lines lol
we watched the … we watched the second one where he sticks people to the chair he says there are no flashes but if you watch you see two flashes…we had recorded this and when we paused it just as the flash happens you see a picture of a man tied to a chair
i hope everyone … i hope everyone realises that this was done by freezing the half of the shot where the balls are and then they get swapped over when the camera goes still. good trick but yeah that was how it was done
I’ve seen Darren … I’ve seen Darren Brown live a few times now and I would say that he doesn’t need to use split screens and such. I think its just that fact that he has done something in one night that billions will spend their entire life trying to achieve. “He just has to be cheating!” I know he isn’t using actual psychic powers to do it (he has made it perfectly clear that he doesn’t believe anything he does) but using a split screen to me sounds rediculous.
people who are … people who are saying that this is not a split screen are seriously retarded- it is BLATENTLY obvious that the ’02′ ball on the left hand side miraculusly moves just before he advances towards the balls….. and am i the only one who noticed the strange way he strode towards the balls? almost as if he was waiting for the all clear from the producer before he went over there??
yeah… but theres … yeah… but theres nothing wrong with wanting to know how its done, thats very healthy. and im sure derren would want us all to question his methods
atleast he tried i …

Clever, but it is just a camera trick.

A dissolve was used. It is not an instantaneous cut which would be noticeable. Watch the ball on the far left.
