@phelpstherapper that is true after the wwe bought off wcw and ecw they had all the star power they needed grabbing all the best main eventers from wcw and ecw with the combination of wwf but nope they just wanted make them look like clowns compared to the wwf main eventer stone cold have you seen the part where stone cold signal handly took down wcw roster and ecw roster that to me was a slap in the face who ever were long time ecw/ wcw fans
they could’ve made some really better storylines

@bongboy6969 Well, they also could’ve had Stone Cold Steve Austin vs Hulk Hogan and they never cashed in on it. They could’ve had Goldberg vs Stone Cold Steve Austin but never cashed in on it. Vince blew so many epic matches in the early 2000s. Instead of building a Hogan/Austin showdown… he wasted Hogans last big run on a tag title reign with Edge (and this is before Edge became the as the Rated R Superstar). He could’ve had the nWo vs DX, but failed to deliver. Vince dropped the ball

i think wwe have a tendancy to hold off on great ideas for the ‘right time’, however they must be careful that this ‘right time’ may never come, (jeff hardy cm punk feud was supposed to be EPIC, but now it will never continue) thus they may lose out on the potential storyline/feud
they should pull the trigger more

@ricksam It is true, the MEM had no definitive ending or dismantling. The real reason they disbanded is because Booker T was angry with his role in TNA and was leaving the company over it. After Bound For Glory last year they just abruptly did away with the MEM with no real explanation. Steiner was the only one who claimed the MEM was still going after BFG and even hinted that when Hogan showed up in TNA that the Mafia would be reborn, but then they never mentioned the MEM again and Steiner left

@TheRebelofTheLight Yeah, I loved the Main Event Mafia, but they weren’t nWo knock offs. The MEM were founded because the legends felt like the young guys couldn’t carry the company, and that they had to teach them respect and were based on the Godfather. The nWo was founded originally on the basis that they were on a hostile take over of WCW, and initially gave the impression that the WWF had sent Razor Ramon (Hall), Diesel (Nash), and Hulk Hogan to invade WCW. Completely different factions.

MEM were bad even though they would’ve been so much better like 8 years ago. I can’t believe WWE never though of doing the MEM when they had the chance. In 2003 they had Booker T, Kevin Nash, Kurt Angle, and Scott Steiner… the only one they lacked was Sting and they could’ve easily replaced him with HBK that would’ve rocked too. WWE had so many gold mine capabilities that they never cashed in on in the early 2000s
