alright alright i understand what they’re talking bout and it is a good idea but this girl was talking like it’s the greatest invention known to man. like give me a break it’s just a website when it’s all said and done. it’s not going to end american oppression on starving third world nations now is it? it’s not going to relieve the IMF loans in africa and south america is it? maybe google should put some of there knowledge and wealth into that.

@ disimpresssed (part 2) Information through the web which can now be carried around via a mobile device connected to the cloud is basically a library times 1000 at your fingertips. Now you can go around and experience the world, point your mobile device at something and learn everything about it. I These new tools are indispensible to the future of how we learn about the world. This is a reality and perhaps you shouldn’t be on the internet at all if you don’t believe in that principle.

@disimpresssed Your response is naive. Have you ever been to the library in your life which have been around for centuries? Scholars and students have depended on libraries to do research and cull information from others without having to start from scratch and build on top of that and not have to figure things out from scratch which would be pointless for the progression of knowledge.

books and news are 2 different things. News on the internet are more up to date than news on the papers. So that’s why they built live search. To be able to see what’s happening right and not have to wait untill the next morning paper.
