The title for this … The title for this commercial is incorrect. The correct title is “GALLERY”, I work for the production company who made this commercial. The director is Joe Pytka.
Whoever came up … Whoever came up with the ad deserved to be promoted to VP and given a corner office. Absolutely the best advertising a company has ever done. Compelling, emotional, profound, essential. “Keep me. Protect me. Share Me. And I will live forever” should be the mantra for every museum, gallery, archive and library in the world. Bravo.
One of the Best … One of the Best commercial every made !
I remember it from when it was first shown….. how many commercials can you remember after years? Thought to look it up on You Tube and here it is, Thank You for the post!
I contacted an … I contacted an associate at Kodak in Rochester and he put me intouch with a guy who let me know that Kodak only had rights to this awesom piece for a set period of time. As an amature archivist this piece gets me every time. Absolutely incredible marketing.
:35 was that lil … :35 was that lil girl in a jonas brother and demi lovato commercail? and the girl who asked about the b-day pictures was she on flight 29 down with corbin blu? cool and very long commercial!
there was a point … there was a point were we could make our own version of this. i remember my dad did it, and they made a version of this commercial with pictures of me & my family, and other people that had Kodak cameras. does anyone else remember that?
Oh wow! This was … Oh wow! This was really cool! I loved the ending!!
I wish we could see this edited and put on tv as a commercial. It’s great! It shouldn’t be hidden on You Tube. (the only place I could find it)
Okay… every time … Okay… every time I watch this I get chills and tears in my eyes… why isn’t this commercial show all the time on TV? I have an annual membership to Kodak Gallery… this commercial would bring them in by the droves…
I called Kodak and … I called Kodak and asked for a DVD, but they told me that they could not do that. The first time I saw a short version was in a movie theater and I thought it was so cool that I checked on Kodak’s website. It was there for about a year then it was removed. I’m glad it found a place on YouTube. It is actually more entertaining than some full-length movies.
Absolutely … Absolutely phenomenal video. It really validates why I suit up and go into work every day as a camera salesman. Makes me tear up every time I see it thinking that the cameras I sell make such a huge difference in people’s lives.
Truly one of the … Truly one of the best commercials ever made. Not only does it create an upwelling of (positive) emotion in one’s heart, but it also attributes all of that to the brand. Essentially, Kodak keeps and protects your most precious moments, as well as those belonging to all of us. I would loved to have been a fly on the wall in the boardroom when this piece was show to the folks at Kodak! Wow.
bwworld, I’m very … bwworld, I’m very sorry for your loss, also. Thank you for your response to my email about this very special commercial. Even though pics can’t replace a loving parent, they can remind you of how lucky you were to have them!
debraann615, I’m so … debraann615, I’m so sorry for your loss. I had a similar experience. Earlier this year I buried my Father, and in the aftermath went through many photos. Seeing Dad in his prime was comforting and helped me in the mourning process. This commercial taps into those kinds of emotions successfully.
