I am asking for your personal opinion. I am interested in taking a vacation, not sure where I want to go yet but I want to go to an awesome art museum. So any answers would be helpful. Thank you.

In the San Francisco bay area, there’s the DeYoung in Golden Gate Park, SFMOMA, and I really like the San Jose museum of art.

i have been to the shed aquarium in chicago and the chicago art museum. i thought that the exhibits were awesome. i guess that it would depend on what type of exhibition is going on at the time. i would just make a list of museums and find out what the major exhibits are at the time. i just posed a question asking anyone if they had seen the cadaver exhibit called Body Works, it is supposed to be very interesting but it is banned where i live.

In this site you will find all about NYC museums. I love them all and when I visit NYC I always go back. I never get tired of the exhibitions.

From personal experience I would recommend the Metropolitan Museum of Art in NY city. It has all types of art, and very good examples. Plan to spend several days there if you can!
