Life in Tokyo: Vlog #72 Big Tobacco, Small Museum

I don’t smoke. But that doesn’t mean I couldn’t enjoy the Tobacco and Salt museum in Shibuya. Its not the greatest museum ever, surely. But it is worth a peak inside if you are in the area, especially because the entry fee is only ¥100.

Occasionally the temporary exhibit on the 4th floor is surprisingly interesting. The 3rd floor salt area is highly miss-able.

“100 Cigarettes” by Big Sugar

As for the other museums I recommended:

The Edo-Tokyo Museum

The Parasite Museum

And of course…

    About breaking laws …
About breaking laws… Some punk kids decided they would try and smuggle marijuana across the Mexican boarder into the USA from their field trip in Mexico at a school down the road from where I live… They got to spend a good two weeks in a Mexican jail full of murders and thugs till their parents could get them brought back to the USA.
Then again there were the two teens who tried to smuggle the same in Turkey… Two years in a Turkish prison.

Nice exhibition! Now in France we can not smoke in pubs, or restaurant (and it’s not really a bad thing, since you can eat without smelling smoke at the same time), but ther was a pub where they decided to let people smoke, every pictures were about tabaco, under the top of the tables (made of glass), there was ashes… Quite a nice place, strange but nice, and clean!

Koreans make up a large part of the moden yakuza. They blame this on the negitive stigma the Japanese had towards the koreans when they started to migrate to Japan. So yes you can be yakuza but I do not recommend it.
