I’m planning on throwing a little Halloween party for my 2 year old and his playgroup friends and didn’t want to do it the weekend before Halloween b/c of all the fun events going on and my best friend and her kids can’t make it the 20th of October (I really want her there) so that leaves the 13th. But, is it odd to throw a Halloween party that early? I’m just planning on having the kids wear costumes, play a few games (whatever 2 year olds can do), have lunch and pass out treats. Thanks for any responses.
I love, love, love halloween and I think having the party on the 13th is perfectly fine. The kids are too young to really notice and how fun for them getting to celebrate it twice. Enjoy

They are 2 yrs old I don’t think they’ll notice what date you’re throwing the party. they’ll just be thrilled you’re doing this for them. Go ahead do it on the 13th. I think it’s ok to celebrate anytime in october. I mean we have christmas in July, right?

No not at all .. I threw one last year for my 3 year olds playgroup around that time . It would probably be a lot easier having it then considering everything you said was going on .

i don’t think its too early at all. the kids are too little to really know anyway and its only a few weeks from halloween. go for it!

Two year olds have absolutely no concept of time OR of Halloween, so you’re pretty safe to have your party on the 13th. Have fun!! (take lots of pictures..the little ones are so darn cute when they’re all dressed up!)

I think it’s too early. If they are only 2, they really dont understand anyway but I would do it on Halloween in the afternoon.

Naaa. Not to early. Its only aug and they already are putting halloween things out anyways. since its a few weeks early dont call it a halloween party. Call it a costume party – A dress up party.

Why not the stores are getting halloween stuff out now so people should have time to get the costums before the party. Just make sure the parents know the date so they are ready a few weeks early. This might help parent realy if they wanted to do other things for the hoilday to.

They’re 2 – you could have it now and they wouldn’t know any different. It’s just really called a party with costumes and you can have it any time of year you want.
