James – Live in Manchester 2001.
I always felt this was one of the better versions of “Sit Down”. At the time (2001) this performance was supposed to be their “Last Waltz” and this song, the final farewell to their hometown fans, marking the end of the band at the end of the song. You can almost sense Mark Hunter (keyboard) drawing out the beginning, attempting to avoid the inevitable end of the song and the group. That said, in actuality Tim Booth was having one final argument with other members as to how the song should be played. I also found it kind of sad that he leaves the stage by himself, but then again he put himself in that position.
From the DVD “Getting Away With It” (highly recommended).

Awesome tune this. I rememeber it from way back. To me it has become the unofficial world superbikes anthem. Every single year whatever band is playing they sing this and the crowd (myself included) goes mad. Pure magic

@ramma77 It;s …
@ramma77 It;s pointless arguing as I have no opinion on the matter. The land lord at my local used this account a few days back to play music videos on his big screen but tens of people were using the computer to put songs on, it could of been written by anyone. To be quite honest I think James are shit. But i will just say that going out buying merchandise and genuine CDs is supporting your favourite acts more than pirating stuff. any way you are boring me now. goodbye
