On September 8, 2010, Marissa Mayer and Ben Gomes hosted a search event at the San Francisco Museum of Modern Art to announce Google Instant. Check out this video from our event.

Google Instant is a new search interface and infrastructure enhancement that is fast and predictive, making search easier by showing you relevant search results instantly on the results page as you type. When people use Instant, we estimate they save between two and five seconds when they search. Globally, this adds up to more than 11 hours saved every second. FOX Toledo media partner The Toledo Free Press and the the Toledo Chapter of the League of Women Voters will hold “The Art of Politics” at the Toledo Museum of Art Tuesday evening.

The debate will include three debates among local candidates in three key races: Democrat Edna Brown and Republican Tom Waniewski, who are running for State Senate; Lucas County Auditor Anita Lopez and her Republican challenger Gina Marie Kaczala; Lucas County Commissioner candidates, Democrat Carol Contrada and Republican George Sarantou.

The three-part debate format will be live blogged by Lisa Renee Ward on the Glass City Jungle, as well as FOXToledo.com and the ToledoFreePress.com.

GTA: EFLC – PC – Rockstar Multiplayer Event! – June 30, 2010

So I finally got to participate in one of Rockstars multiplayer events, and while it was fun, there was much frustration to be had! Hear me bitch!:

1. Even though the Team Deathmatches were supposed to be 2v2v2v2v2, they allowed 2 clans to have teams of 4, so naturally they dominated and it was complete horseshit.

2. The Rockstar developers who were hosting used xbox controllers to play and left auto-aim on in the Deathmatches. For those who don’t know, you use mouse/keyboard for PC GTA IV. Controllers and auto-aim are for nubs and retards!

3. Rockstar apparently thinks that the entire general public has $5000 Alienware PC’s, because even though countless people protested, they insisted on using weather effects, high pedestrians, high traffic…. so tons of people lagged out or had FPS.

Other than that, it was pretty fun. I played like a noob, but oh well, it makes for some lulz. Enjoy the matches!
